This quote means that when you become a pretty, not only do you look different you also think different because you think that your better than uglier people because they are pretty.
If I changed myself to a pretty I would not want to change mentally and keep the same mind set. Not be someone who thinks they are better than everybody thats uglier than me. I would want to change physically to a normal person.
