Tally was in the river when the big machine picked her up and put her on her back, and the people inside the big machine took her inside and went back to flying. The people inside, who called themselves the Rangers, were questioning Tally about why she was out there and stuff like that. They asked her if she was on her way to Smoke to find Shay. They said that an ugly girl sitting in the flowers with a hover board and survival kit was waiting for her. They dropped her off at Smoke. Once she hiked up to the top of the hill stopped and laid down.

I think that the quote means that she is stuck out in the wild forever. She would never be pretty she would stay ugly for life. Her only way home was to give up looking for Shay.

I would describe the Rusty Ruins as a place with alot of metal that people left there from when they were building things.


I would define peer pressure as pressure that your family would put on you. And i dont know of any of my friends having peer pressure.

Spiderman is a movie that the villian uses a hover-board to fly around to. They used it like a skateboard.

I think the new pretties don't come back to visit Uglyville is because pretties aren't aloud to talk to uglies. They physicaly changed by the way they look, and they mentally changed by thinking they are better than uglies because they are pretties.

Summary: She had been falling with the paracute and once she landed she ran straight towards the farden dodging the view of wardans and hovercars. She was running through the farden and thought she ran into a warden. So she hid, but then she figured out that it was another ugly, named Shay, and crossed the river with Shays hoverboards to fully escape Prettyville .


I learned that Shay is and ugly just like Tally. I predict that they are going to turn into really good friends.

Characterization of Tally: is an ugly, lives in Uglyville, thinks her best friend is Peris

Characterization of Peris: is a pretty, used to be friends with Tally but now he wont be friends with her until she becomes pretty.

I think that the friendship between Tally and Peris isn't good at all because when Tally asked Peris if they were still be best friends he told her that they wouldn't become best friends again until Tally becomes pretty.
